Your Story Matters: Share Your ‘Why’

One of the most meaningful, high-impact things you can do is to share your story — why you’re voting YES 4 Avon Schools. You can capture a short video and share it online. It’s easy and anybody can do it using a smartphone.

We’ve assembled a guide to help you tell your story. Check it out and then share your ‘why’!

Step 1: Record

1. Open your camera app

2. Switch to video mode

3. Flip to front camera

4. Hit the red record button to begin recording

5. Click the red stop button when you’re done

6. Review your video

   • Watch it to make sure you’re happy with it. (It doesn’t have to be perfect!)

   • You can trim or edit using your phone’s built-in tools if needed.

Step 2: Post

1. Open the Facebook app

2. Start a new post by tapping ‘what’s on your mind’ at the top of your Feed

3. Add your video

   • Tap photo/video

   • Select the video you just recorded from your gallery

4. Write a caption to introduce your video

   • Type @Yes4AvonSchools to tag the PAC Facebook page

   • Use hashtag #Yes4AvonSchools

5. Choose your audience by tapping the privacy setting (e.g. Public, Friends, Only Me) to control who can see it

6. Tap ‘post’ in the top-right corner

Step 3: Share with Us

1. Click here to visit our shared Google Drive folder

2. Upload your video

Our social media team is going to use the footage to create and compile content for our Instagram account for use throughout the campaign.
