Avon Chamber Says Yes 4 Avon Schools

Tom Downard, Executive Director of the Avon Chamber of Commerce, explains why he and his Board of Directors are saying YES 4 Avon Schools.

Their resolution of support says:

The Board of Directors of the Avon Chamber of Commerce acknowledges the needs of the Avon Community School Corporation and the impact the schools have on our community. We believe that a school corporation functioning at the highest levels will make our workforce more knowledgeable and stronger for our local business community. The 2018 Referendum funding for more teachers to create smaller classrooms has had significant impacts and has been highly effective in creating better learning environments.

The 2025 Renewal Referendum tax rate has been reduced from the voter-approved 2018 rate and the school corporation has demonstrated they will only apply the rate necessary to accomplish Referendum goals each year.
